How do we keep our ?

100% Recycled/Upcycled Costumes
All of our many costumes and wigs are purchased secondhand and up-cycled with secondhand materials, or created from scratch from secondhand materials!
Thank You, Mum!
A huge shout out goes to my mum, Beverley, for her amazing sewing skills, and her immense generosity in creating, altering and maintaining all of the costumes! This business simply wouldn't be possible without all of her hard work.

A More Circular Economy
We are also grateful for:
The Sewing Basket for being our go-to place for second hand costume materials.
People who sell their pre-loved costumes on online marketplaces like facebook marketplace and depop, giving their costumes a second life.
People who donate their unwanted goods to either The Sewing Basket (for sewing materials) or Reverse Garbage (for almost anything else!), thereby reducing landfill and contributing to a more circular economy.
What else?
I'll continue to edit (and beautify) this webpage shortly, but for now here are the other ways we reduce our impact on our precious shared home, the planet:
Giant Bubbles as a replacement for balloons.
Bubbles are made from non-toxic, cruelty free, vegan, and ethically sourced ingredients.

Face-painting with Bioglitter® instead of single use plastic gems and microplastic glitter
Bioglitter® uses natural and plant derived material as its basis rather than plastic. It is proven (through OECD301 biodegradability testing as well as ISO14851 and ISO14852 freshwater biodegradability testing) to quickly biodegrade into harmless substances in the natural environment.

Reusable Props for all games and activities.

Secondhand Purchasing

Plastic-free prizes
